WEEK OF OCTOBER 11-17, 2015

MARCHING BAND

• Regular rehearsals this week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 3:45-5:30). This will be the last week of that schedule. You can check the calendar (below) to see the rehearsal schedule going forward.
• Information for Friday's game @ Prattville Stanley Stadium:  Eat before call time. Post game meals will be available if purchased ahead of time. (Order forms will be at rehearsal today and tomorrow. Cost is $4 for each meal - sandwich, chip, dessert, water - $3 for additional sandwiches. Orders are DUE by 5:30 on the Tuesday before the game. Checks should be made payable to ABPA, or cash will also be accepted. If you placed an order for ALL away games at the beginning of the school year - we've got it and you're good to go!)  Full Uniform.   

          4:15 - Call time in band room (in uniform)
          4:30 - Depart AHS
          5:45 - Arrive in Prattville
          7:00 - Kick Off
        ~9:30 - Game ends
      ~10:00 - Depart Prattville
      ~11:00 - Arrive AHS

• Not planning to ride the buses back from Prattville on Friday or Pell City on Saturday? Don't forget to submit a signed release form by Thursday! This is required by ACS and really helps out the chaperones and directors when we're trying to get everyone home safely and in a timely manner. 
• It's contest week - Pell City Marching Festival, Saturday! This is our final contest of the season so it is very important to have everyone at rehearsals. Let's end our competition season with our best performance yet!  Unfortunately, they still have not sent the schedule, but as soon as we have it, we'll update the calendar and send out an email. Estimated call time for practice will be at 1:00 on Saturday.
• Tomorrow (Tuesday) at 1:45, we will have two students recognized at a special presentation in the APAC. Seth Almond and Caleb Williams have both been selected to the US Army All American Marching Band. They will be traveling to San Antonio this January to participate in the US Army All American Bowl. If you would like to come to the presentation, you are more than welcome. Congratulations Seth and Caleb!

ABPA BOARD MEETING Tuesday, 6:00 p.m., AHS Band Room
