GREAT WORK!!
I hope everyone is aware of how lucky we are to be a part of such a wonderful organization! Last night we had a dedicated group of volunteers show up and work hard in concessions and the stands; awesome band directors and staff keeping everyone motivated, organized, and solving problems on the fly; and our amazing band members, who, despite being soaked by rain, then sticky hot, stung by fire ants, etc., put on a great pregame and halftime show and gave it their all to keep the spirit flowing to the very last second of the game. The fans might not have shown up in force, but we sure did!
A really big thank you to all those parents who volunteered their time on a week night. We truly appreciate your efforts in the concession stand to make our fundraising successful, and also for those working in the stands keeping our kids safe, healthy, happy, and hydrated. A super big shout-out to our ABPA President, Angie Holt (and ALL her family - especially husband, Wayne, who usually single-handedly moves all 12 fully-loaded coolers down and back up the stands as well as over to the visiting band). She gives 110% to make it all possible - one of the first to arrive, almost always the last to leave, she never stops moving during a game and is constantly putting out fires. She works with Mr. Cothran and the staff to keep it all running like a well-oiled machine (with heart!). We all benefit from her, and all our volunteers', efforts and we are very fortunate.
