NEWS FROM DAY #1 @ BAND CAMP:

It's not too late to order lunch! Please turn in your order and payment by 6 p.m. TODAY! (At the chaperones' tent.)

Keep 'em Hydrated!  Please send your band member to camp with a full, large water bottle.  Refill stations are available during the day - remind them to drink up!

Poptarts Aren't Enough!  Please make sure that your band member eats a good breakfast with protein and carbs, while keeping the sugar to a minimum.  Low blood sugar is dropping as many students as the heat.  

Send Snacks!  Easy to eat food for throughout the day is great to have (trail mix, crackers, granola bars, cut fruit and veggies) - again, low on sugar and healthy will keep them on the field and focused!  For all those parents who couldn't chaperone during camp but want to help, donations of snacks would be wonderful - bring them to the bandroom!
